Getting Spire account?

My son applied on 9/30 - he got the email with a link to check his application status (we can see everything is complete). But we don’t have anyway to log in to Spire. Reading through last year’s posts it looks everyone was logging in to Spire to see they were accepted/rejected. Anyone know if we should have a Spire log in already? Or does that come later?
Thanks for any insight!

Do you mind updating the status of your situation?

I’m also in the same spot, though I applied on deadline day and as a transfer. But now that I know that at least your son and I both are facing this, it must be calculated on the admissions’ part.

Still, this time is smack dab in the middle of when decisions ought to be released. Oh well, there’s still a few weeks left until all of them are…

He still doesn’t have a Spire account. Would love to hear from others to know if we should be reaching out to admissions or not.
Anyone out there with app pending who already has a spire account? Should we be following up if we don’t have one?

I sent an email three days ago to admissions, still have yet to reply. Could be that admissions are so busy reviewing our apps… hm.

I went back and read through the 2021 thread. Looks like people were getting Spire log on info mid November last year. So maybe we will see something soon.
Good luck! Update if you hear anything please.

Hi again! @HLGC

No need to notify admissions yourself, because I already did so! Haha! Two days ago, I spoke with a woman who informed me that Spire log-ins are to be received after being granted acceptance, which is expected to come out starting mid-December. Acceptances will be mailed to you, as well as it being displayed on the Student Status Page. Log-ins will arrive in a separate e-mail to your e-mail address.

What do you make of this information?

Umass Amherst is so disorganized when it comes to admissions I would not be surprised of anything I hear.

Thank you @velvetears that is good information!
So strange because last year’s thread on EA admissions all say they read the decision on their Spire account. They must have changed the process.
I appreciate you sharing your findings and saving us the phone call! Best of luck!
