I have a friend at UC Irvine that wants to come down to visit. She says there is an amtrak station right by where she lives.

The amtrak apparently would drop her off in Union Station, which is quite a ways from UCLA. What bus would she have to take to arrive here? Hopefully one that would drop her off here at ackerman bus stop.

I'm new to the public transportation system here since I'm from a pretty small city :-/

the green culver city 6 (i think it's 6, but regardless there is only one green bus)

are you sure about the culver city green bus bruinboy? i tried looking that up online but, i couldn't find it... it only said that it went to and from LAX...

In any case, the way that will surely get you to UCLA from union station is to take the metro rail purple line, get off at Wilshire/Western then jump on the Metro 720 to Wilshire/Westwood. Then if you deem its too far to walk from Wilshire to campus, take a big blue bus up Westwood. My boyfriend has gotten home this way from visiting me at UCI many times...

whoops, sorry. i had union station confused with aviation station. yes i think ckings's route is the correct one
