Getting to USC

So despite the rivalry, I have several friends going to USC, and would like to visit them fairly regularly, say at least every couple of weekends. What's the easiest way to get from UCLA to USC, considering that I don't have a car? Is there some convenient public transportation available, or is it better to hitch a ride with someone already heading over there (assuming there IS someone going when I want to go)?

The Metro Bus route 305 runs between UCLA and USC.

I plan on going once every 2 months or so, so you can hitch a ride from me then haha. Otherwise, shouldn't your USC friends be coming to visit us? We have the far nicer campus and area.

Oh, they do. They're alllllllllllllllllll over Westwood.

I was in Westwood a few nights ago and I swear to god there were more SC people than anyone else. And they all wore their stupid tshirts like a giant gang. Go back to your ghetto, kids. Seriously.

Thanks flopsy for the info, that should make it easy for both me and them to come visit each other's schools...though I would agree, Westwood >>> the USC ghetto, so I would expect they'd be pretty happy to come over here on a regular basis ;)

These seasonal migrations to others' locales are a means of urban survival. Otherwise, in their natural habitat, USC students have a lower life expectancy than UCLA students.

Hahaha yeah. And they were mostly congregating at Habibi which is mega ghetto. So I'm sure they felt right at home.

Oh and I was also wondering about how long does it take to make that trip by bus? I know the two schools aren't that far apart, but it IS a bus...

"We have the far nicer campus and area."

Area? Obviously. Campus? You haven't been to 'SC, have you?

lol @ USC ghetto kids...don't do drugs

I have been to USC's campus several times. It's nice, but ours is nicer. And bigger.

I have been to USC's campus once. It's nice, but ours is nicer. And cleaner.

USC's campus is so closed in. A lot of the buildings are pretty nice, but it's really hot and flat and...

not as nice ;)

If any of you have seen March of the Penguins, you will supremely enjoy this clip : "March of the Trojans" to westwood

http://youtube.com/watch?v=BoQKPisNsTs

hahah...that was pretty good...thanks jason for the link.

p.s. i bet it's only me...but i didn't think march of the penguins was THAT great of a documentary as everyone kept saying...

From Spring Sing... good times...

I agree with ekn111, in that March of the Penguins wasn't particularly deserving of any national theatrical release, as opposed to a typical National Geographic Channel broadcast.

EXaaactly..after watching it, I thought that maybe I dozed off when some spectacular scenes or something took place. But, no, that was it.

exactly. i dread my decision of buying it for my dad's father day gift. i fall asleep every time i watch it.
