Is Bobb one dorm and McCulloch another dorm or is it one dorm called Bobb-McCulloch? Thanks for indulging me. I'm too tired at the moment to figure it out and a couple of recent posts confused me.

they are opposite sides of the same building, they are connected on (i think) the second floor?

the building itself is referred to as "bobb-mcculloch" but sometimes people will say "i live in bobb" or "i live in mcculloch" just to specify which side of the building they live on

When people ask broad questions like "Which dorm should I live in?" answerers HAVE to resort to generalizations like "Bobb is for drinkers, Slivka is for losers". If you want a general idea of a dorm, that's what you're going to get. But like everyone has said, a "party dorm" does not entail 100% drinkers, and cool people can end up in traditionally "lame" dorms.

Allison is a VERY social dorm, and not everyone drinks. It's just social. Willard is the same for res colleges, and other RC's with good communities (like CRC) are the same, and not at all anti-social. That's just the idea you will get when you ask people to stereotype dorms.

And I really agree with CerebralAssassin in that if you come here with the mindset that you will hate it, you will. I had a pretty lonely first week or so here, and it was when I became determined to turn things around that I slowly began to find my friends group, eventually rushed, etc. If I had justified my bad time as "yep, that's what I get for coming to NU," I would have just never left my room and eventually decided to transfer. NU has SO MUCH to offer, I honestly believe anyone who got accepted could come here and have an amazing undergrad experience. But if you've already made up your mind about the place it's going to be a lot harder to do that.

Can anyone tell me how big slivka rooms are? hows da room size n da whole dorm in general in terms of cleaniness, food, social scene, study area etcetc compared to ayersCCI?
