Well, UCLA emailed me that they received my application. But I'm just wondering if Cal ever received my application. Did anyone hear anything from Cal?

I applied to four UCs (including Berkeley and UCLA) and none of them have e-mailed me. Should I have received any e-mails? I only got the confirmation from the UC system that the application went through, nothing from any individual campus.

Only UCLA sent out an email for me out of 4 UC's

same here. applied to UCLA, Cal, davis, and santa barbara and so far I only received a letter from UCLA. still waiting on the others....

well when did you guys apply?
i applied to 4 ucs on the 26th and besides the uc confirmation, i havent heard from any school.

Do you have the receipt for when right after you submitted? Because on the receipt is states:

"You should receive an e-mail acknowledgment from the UC Undergraduate Application Processing Service four to five weeks after you submit your application. If you do not receive it, contact the processing service at ucinfo@ucapplication.net or call (800) 523-2048."

i submitted mine on the 15th of november

Don't worry, if you submitted the application on time and recieved an email from the University of California that your application is submitted it is fine. Some of the UCs take a while before they actually send you an email. I wouldn't be too concerned. The only time you should be concerned is if you sent your application late. In that case you should give the UCs a call.

I believe that the CalApp website said early January is when we get our emails from them with notification and instructions.

And so it begins...

If you didn't hear from Cal yet, that obviously means they read all 12k applications and you're not getting in.

In all seriousness though, I got confirmation from UCLA last year on Jan 3rd, and Cal on Jan 7th. Not everyone will get theirs from the same school on the same day. They roll in.

Here is what I wrote in a thread two weeks ago:

What happens now is you wait. Time will appear to slow down, and everyone will get their emails about MyBerkeleyApp, etc before you. Others who didn't get theirs yet will come here crying asking "zomg does this mean i r not accepted?!!?!!!11!"

Seriously though, the schools will contact you. Getting contacted early, average, or later than others means absolutely nothing. For what it's worth, I was contacted just about last out of everyone here and I still go in to all four schools I applied to. Also, consider altering your spam filter to make sure it doesn't reject emails from the different UC's.

Which reminds me, I just checked my email saved folder and I have the emails from all four UC's I applied to from last year. According to the dates on the emails, I was contacted by UC Irvine and UCLA both on January 3rd, and UCSB and UC Berkeley contacted me on January 7th. Each one will give you some kind of ID number and a website you can log into fifty billion times to see check if you were accepted between January and early May.

Good luck

^^^
Great advice buddy, but what you doing on CC? Go study for finals man!! haha I guess I should do the same.

I haven't gotten anything yet...(not even UCLA)
what's going on

a lack of patience combined with anxiety. don't worry guys, if you don't hear anything after like Jan 10th, then you should worry.

Everyone, for UCLA and Cal:

Don't expect any results untill April-May!!!!

they arn't talking about results, they are talking about the e-mails you get confirming they got your application

just received an email from Cal saying they got the app

Was this the supplemental information where CAL asks for more info? Did everyone get this email?

yep, got it from Cal today too.

yea, that would be it

just got my cal email today too :)
