Ok, so I would like to start off by saying I really want to get into Gettysburg. The only problem is I did terrible my freshman and sophomore year with an 80 average both years. However this was mostly due to my poor grades in Spanish and math. Before I go any further I would like to add that I am fairly intelligent despite what my grades may indicate. I spend almost everyday reading and I love to learn; I simply lacked the will to do well. On the bright side though I’ve managed to do much better my junior year. I will probably have an average of 88, and 90 weighted with honors in history and English. Sat is 1900. My senior I will be taking 2 history APs and one English AP, in addition to a tough schedule. I will be applying ED. I’m a good writer as far as I know and received an 11 on my SAT essay. I have a good essay story in mind, also I have good people skills and hope to ace the interview. With that being said how do my chances look? Any input is greatly appreciated. Also I would love to hear from any Gettysburg students/ alumni on what they think.
