@stellallets - thanks. He found out via myGettysburg portal. I expect that the hard copy will come in today’s mail.
Does anyone know when Admitted Students Day is? Is there an overnight?

Rejected with a 1340 sat and letters of rec were amazing, also Stellar ec’s…Needed aid though. Overall really disappointed
I know they said no decisions would be posted on the portal but this is on my daughters portal…Anyone else?

That was on mine too
@stellallets It had that even though you were declined admittance? How did you find out your admission decision?
@riverb mail, I saw it on informed delivery. It’s actually a waitlist (I didn’t know that when I saw the small letter) but I’m not going to accept it. Better luck for you I hope!
Hi guys! I keep checking to see if there is a Facebook group for the Gettysburg Class of 2022 but so far there is nothing yet. I would really like to start getting to know all of you
@stellallets - we feel your pain. Our son has been waitlisted at multiple schools including BC and Middlebury. We’re trying to move on vs wasting a lot of energy thinking about those… Good luck!
So now our S is choosing between Gettysburg with $20k Merit vs Holy Cross (no ‘merit) vs Providence College (no merit).
Is Gettysburg a no-brainer here? He’s probably going to visit all of them again before making his choice.
@helicopterDad123 thank you for that! Your son sounds well off! I was accepted at Providence college too! That seems like my best option after seeing all my decisions, I was fortunate enough to receive $60k a year in aid there! I guess it’ll work out but congratulations to your son, ironically We have the same taste in schools!
waitlisted
@pickles9 I would not be hopeful. I sat down with a FA officer during admitted student days and I was shot down fast and hard–it was made clear that the offer was the offer, and they are not open to discussions. The individual was quite condescending to boot, and there was definitely a “if you don’t like it go elsewhere” vibe.
Thank you @planner03. Saves me the humiliation of asking. We have convinced the husband that it is the best school for our D anyway, in spite of him cringing at the price!
DD was waitlisted. She won’t take the spot.
