I think they have different ways to do it.
Like they mail accepted kids. Email waitlisted and rejected kids. Sth like that. Or maybe that is just for internationals
I think that US kids get snail mail and international kids receive an email
Hi, I’m an international student. I got an email from them saying that I’m going to receive my decision by mail so I found it actually strange because I’m an international student, so I emailed them and asked about this thing, and it turned out that they will send only mail to domestic students. however international will receive mail and email in addition to being notified through Mygettysburg account. In conclusion, I think that how they send emails is somehow random so don’t worry @Lana22 if you didn’t receive one !

I know this is probably wishful thinking but what if all of us chatting on here ended up being accepted to Gettysburg and actually attending there? Then we could all be friends when we met at orientation! Haha

@Raamael you may find it surprising but I’m from Syria and currently living in Syria. The normal question that any one would ask me : how are you still alive ? well I tend to think that I was lucky to be born in somehow a safe area “until now”. anyway my stats are :
SAT : 620 CR , 750 M , 620 W.
Grades : 1/89 on my school. won regional awards for my top scores in school. about 98% in 12th grade, 97% in 11th grade. ( which are amazing when talking about Syrian education)
ECs : A lot of voulnteering with charities in my region. part of a Lebanese iniative to translate science into arabic. teaching in a local institute for technology. We don’t have clubs and societies anymore after the war like what you have in the US. So when talking about a student coming from Syria, I hope that my normal ECs would be somehow understandable.
Essays : I think they are great. I talked about all the challenges that I had to face so I can apply to US including diffculties in traveling to take the tests, presures from my community, fear from war and a lot more.
FA : I requested A LOT of financial aid due to my situation in Syria. That’s the only weak point in my app so hopefully they will understand.
@Lana22 hope to meet too in Gettysburg. actually it’s so much intrguing to think about those things “for me at least” since it’s an esacape from the hell that is Syria.
