Let everyone know if you've gotten in, have any questions, or anything. This is the forum for Gettysburg Early Decision applicants

Had anyone heard back yet from Gettysburg?

I just got in.So excited.I just received an Email. But i was wondering when I will get the mail package.I am an international student.

Hi guys. I’ve just submitted my ed 2 application to gettysburg, so I want to ask if the admission officers would send me a confirmation email, also, will this email have instructions about myGettysburg account? or I must create one by myself?. Thanks in advance

Hey guys, has anyone got their ED2 admission decision?

Hey guys, I am an international student and applied to Gettysburg during the ED2 round. I haven’t had any interviews with a member of Gettysburg; will that reduce my chances of being accepted to Gettysburg? I do send them emails though. I have submitted some Creative work along with my Art work. I would love to know what you guys think.

Btw Kapanshya, the ED2 decisions will be out at the end of this month (as per the email sent from Admission office)

@zoya11 Hi Zoya,I am an international student accepted in ED1 in Gettysburg.I didn’t have any interviews and as far as I know, Gettysburg does not ask international for taking an interview…Good luck.Hope to see you there.

I applied ed2 and interviewed with gettysburg and got my letter of acceptance last week.

@feynman10 Thank you very much for the reply. I am really hoping for the best! fingers crossed!
@ajf118, I received an email from Gettysburg stating that they had moved the ED2 deadline to 1st Feb. When did you send in your application?

Btw, @feynman10 and @ajf118 , Congratulation!!!

Guys how did you demonstrate your interest in Gettysburg without an interview? I do send them emails but they don’t really reply that quickly and now that the decisions will be soon out I am really getting anxious about it! :-/

@zoya11 For me, I didnt give any interviews and I only wrote them emails twice.I think the fact that you are applying ED2 is enough to show your interest in Gettysburg.I was also anxious as there was no “Why Gett?” supplement this year.Hope it helps…

@feynman10 thank you very much. I feel better now!

has anyone received the ed2 decision from gettysburg? it’s now 18/2 and I have not received any email, which is pretty nerve-wrecking (im an international student).

Btw, on the gettysburg early decision page it says “students applying for ED who are not offered acceptance will automatically be considered for Regular Decision admission upon …”, so, in the worst case scenario, I wondered if the school would send me an email informing that my ed2 application was deferred, or they just leave it to the regular round automatically?

legend260, hello, I am also an international student and I haven't heard anything from them yet, I tried emailing them a few days back but I didn't get any reply. Am surprised too cause we were suppose to receive our decisions one month after the deadline and its now more than a month.

There has been bad weather on the East Coast of the U.S., it’s possible the school has been closed or had limited hours of operation which may explain the delay.

@Zoya11‌ Sorry for taking so long to respond! I originally applied regular but after visiting a few times I realized this was the school for me so after emailing and interviewing I asked and figured out how to change to ed2 so I did around December 11? Give or take…and heard back Feb 5 give or take.

Has anyone heard back from Gettysburg? I submitted my ed2 application on december 18th; it’s now March and I have not received any email from the institution :frowning:
