While everybody is enjoying posting their acceptances, I thought it would be a sigh of relief to the waitlisted G'burg's '14 if I create thus thread! (i am also waitlisted!)

Guys, please let us share how many of us in the CC got waitlisted...

why do these colleges boast saying that students are not deprived to study because they do not have money! it’s sure that only those students who can afford to pay will be selected from the waitlisted…

Thats true lazyboy, but Gettysburg is not need-blind, they look at the applicant’s ability to pay in making their admission decision. But I sort of expected this. They have a lower endowment than the other schools that I’ve been accepted to and that has a huge impact on their financial aid budget, especially for international applicants.

so, you are not having a big problem since you have some colleges to go…for students like me, who have not been accepted by a single college yet, this sucks!

What are the chances of getting off the waitlist? I read last year there were 800+ put on waitlist but it does not say how many were accepted off of it.

Ability to pay doesn’t really factor into their decisions. I have an EFC of 50 and got in with a presidential scholarship with decent stats at best, 3.38 UW/ 4.02 Weighted, 1980 SATs but I guess they liked me when I interviewed

Are you KIDDING me? International students get a much tougher draw, if we get a 1980 its equivalent to a 1580. And we cant get an interview coz we cant visit coz we live far, far away.
