<p>My friend is turning 18 soon, and I thought I'd mail him a gift.
What would be a good gift for a guy at UCLA?</p>
<p>I was thinking sending him a package full of candy or soda haha. I don't know. Gift card seems kinda lame but he said he'd be cool with that haha.</p>

<p>I think it depends on the guy and your budget. BF has gotten a nice mattress pad, some board games, video games, books, and a webcam from me since going off to college. I don’t think you could go wrong with a box of candy bars and an Itunes gift card. Or maybe a season of his favorite tv series on DVD?</p>
<p>Other gifts I have given to boys in college are World of Warcraft time cards, starbucks gift cards, CDs/DVDs, nice blankets, books, shower radio, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and various interesting gadgets as I encounter them at the store. Boys are HARD to shop for!</p>
<p>Very few people (besides me) use iTunes anymore… Also, I don’t suggest a book unless you’re sure the person is going to read it.</p>

<p>As someone already posted, gift cards to a FOOD place would be awesome, since you can only take eating at the same dorm food place for so long.! Homemade baked goods would be AWESOME!!! Give him a card, too, that would make a perfect gift!</p>
<p>Limewire is banned and will jack up the internet at all my friends schools, so they use itunes. And I would only buy a book I knew someone would like. Yeesh, serves me right for trying to help. :P</p>
