I decided to apply to a university at the last minute, and I forgot I needed recommendations! I asked my teachers a day before it was due and they both sent it in two hours later. I don't even know most of them that well, yet they did this for me. I am so grateful. What is a good way I can thank them (other than a hand written letter), that is appropriate? Also, my mentor from my internship sent in a recommendation for me at the last minute (she faxed it for me!), how can I thank her? She is a college professor, so it has to be "official" I guess. Thanks

I would hand write a note, and attach a small starbucks card or something…thats what I did…

What amount did you give them? Is $5 to cheap?

I’d do $10. You can’t get much at Starbucks for $5.

Alright then. I’m off to Starbucks!

There is a thread back from November that has some great ideas in it. But you can’t go wrong with a heartfelt handwritten note, and a small gift card!

$5 is fine…

how about a new car?
