I am confused what new students learn during NSC, Fish Camp and Gig em week. Seems like alot of overlap. I suppose I will learn more at the NSC about Gig em. Are freshmen supposed to be at Gig em week the whole week? How much time do parents need to be there? The schedule for the week shows alot of family functions. I dont think my parents can be there a whole week.

I am confused

parents do not need to go to Gig’em week. It is for you, the student. It is the week before school starts, kinda a get to know clubs, campus, campus activities, each other… Move in to your dorm/apt, get to know your roommate & thoes living around you. Enjoy the activities without having to study.

All part of the Aggie experience…
NSC is for you to learn about your college and what you need to know- scholarships, financial aid, scheduling your classes.
Fish Camp is to learn about A&M Traditions.
Gig’em week is the get acclimated to your campus/living environment
All part of the Aggie (brainwashing) experience ;)
