Gigantic ads in the middle of threads

Ok…so I understand you need to make money somehow…but now I’m getting HUGE ads in the middle of threads I read. The ads are about the same size as a half page of posts on my iPad.

Really…is it your goal to make this forum just filled with ads everywhere! On the top, on the bottom, on the side…and now in the middle of every thread I’ve read.

This does not make this an easy and welcoming forum.

I suddenly started getting that today too. I put on my ad-blocker.

I’ve had a couple, but not in every thread

@CCadmin_Sorin

I sent you a screen shot.

Super irritating.

Guys, this is a new ad space that was recently implemented. It is only visible on mobile.

Nope, I’ve seen it a number of times already this morning on my PC. Right now there’s a Honda ad between posts # 2 and 3 of this thread.

Seeing them on my laptop.

Sorry, I meant this is not visible on mobile. It’s only showing up on laptop/PC.

Bit ridiculous. Ads on side, top and bottom and now video ad in the middle.

Got one this morning. Have to agree, that the ads are now on the top, side, the bottom and now the middle?? What is this, facebook??

I’m on an iPhone and have a Citibank ad in between #3 & #4 as well as an ad the bottom of the screen that is over the arrows to change pages. So you need to close the ad before you can change pages. Of course I inevitably click into the ad every time I try to change the page. :stuck_out_tongue:

On PC, no such ads. Windows Edge.

My favorite is an ad for a plumbing class action lawsuit. So relevant.

On every thread I try.

I’m using an iPad…which I would assume is a mobile device. The screen shot I sent you is from my iPad.

I’ve been getting ads like this on my iPhone for a long time…but I don’t use it for CC much.

Y’all need to use an ad blocker. I’m using uBlock Origin but AdBlock Plus works fine, too. I never see any ads on CC on my PC or Mac laptop. I never use it on mobile or iPad so can’t speak to those devices.

No, it’s on mobile, too. I’ve got the same Honda ad, right now. And others have appeared.

Personally, what’s a car company got to do with college issues? I get it when some low level college advertises. That’s bad enough. Not why we need to scroll past the other marketing.

That’s what it is, marketing. Enough is enough. On the screen top, it’s Wayfair. On the screen bottom, it’s…Wayfair. Honda in the middle. It seems to reduce the total posts on a page.

I’m in an Android and I’m getting large ads on the top and middle of every page. The screen isn’t that big, so it’s difficult to scroll past without opening.
