Gilmore Girls!!

Ok, who watches this show? Well, good ole Rory Gilmore attends Yale now. Smart girl huh? Well, She also got accepted to Harvard and Princeton as well. Can you believe it? How lucky. Now, if this was REAL life, do you think Rory would have gotten into all three of those schools?

I doubt it becuase as far as i can remember, she had good grades but no EC's.. all she ever did was hang out at lukes and drink coffee with her mom. Who's with me? lol

What a waste of time...

ha ha my post? You can't always be serious Thicks! Anyway, a post about Joan of Arcadia on the Parents Forum reminded me of this

Wasn't she VP or something? I only watched parts of the first season. It was a sort of boring show.

I am OBSESSED with that show. And to answer the question, I don't think she would have gotten into Harvard and Princeton. Yale I could understand because she was smart and a legacy. I am very thrilled that I am not the only person who has thought about the fact she couldn't get into those schools!! Maybe I'm not that weird after all....jk

no lol. you're not weird. i LOVE that show just as much as you do, however have not had time to watch it this season due to too much hw and EC's (damn it lol) but i'm totally gonna purchase
the DVD. And I've always been kinda ****ed about the fact that she got into all those schools... She didnt have ALL that much going for her.

I have missed a lot this season too. Too much to do and not enough time.

I love that show too...I doubt she could've gotten into Harvard and Princeton as she had nothing outstanding and average scores (1500 SAT judging from her PSAT scores...), but she does have the legacy for Yale. Then again, her being valedictorian at a top northeastern private school would help her with these schools...It's more surprising that Paris didn't get into Harvard, though...

haha, but did u see the episode where Paris listens to her taped interview with the Harvard alum? She practically bit his head off.

I love GG as well. I agree with all of you-- I doubt she had much time for EC's when she was so busy running around with Lorelai/Laine/Dean/Jess.

i love that show!! i heard that the actress that plays Rory is currently attending harvard. do you guys know if that's true?

uumm No. Actually, I think she got accepted to columbia, went for a semester or two then quite to persue acting

NYU, actually.

Wow, glad to see some other Gilmore Girl fans! The character Rory is very much an idol of mine. I am glad that she's broken up with Dean again. Didn't like the whole affair thing. I was really hoping to see her get back with Jess, but I'm guessing that isn't going to be happening. I would very much like to see her with Marty though... Hahaha, does anyone know when Season 2 is coming out?

Used to like it during the begining.. but now its a whole load of crap.. i would rather watch everwood or something... (pls don't be offended)

hey its cool. everwood rocks. Is that show still on? I havent seen it in a while...

GO ONE TREE HILL and THE OC!!!!!!!!!!!!

rory would never have gotten into harvard, yale, princeton in real life.

i think it's hilarious how TV tries to give their characters "seriousness" by pretending they get into Ivies. just the other week, Clark Kent from Smallville had a Princeton alumni swing by his house for a personal interview. Clark is a complete idiot on that show. I like him, but the show should stop pretending he's smart.

Hey I love the show. Um Alexis Bledel (Rory) is a film major at NYU. I just started watching it though, so I'm doing it by DVD (Season One), and currently watching the 5th season as well. I didn't think she had many EC's besides school paper, VD, and Vice President...

Well said!

And Superman is supposed to be super-smart. They screwed up pretty badly there.
