For my Girlfriends birthday, I want to get her a necklace. But I dont want to spend "too" much. Max is around $150. I am thinking of buying her a tiffanys necklace. First, is this a good idea? And second, what else would be a good gift?

Here are some necklaces I saw, Which do you think is the best looking?

You’re going to possibly spend $150 on your girlfriend? Boy are you serious? Take her out to dinner, keep it $80 max. Don’t let your emotions take control of your finances! If she was your wife, then spend as much as you like!

My boy bought me a promise ring that cost more than that for my sweet 16.

That being said, I don’t really like any of those. And you can get much, much cheaper jewelry that is just as nice by looking at places other than Tiffany’s. It’s not how much you spend, it’s the thought behind it, and you don’t need to spend double to triple for the same thought ;).

yeahhh
i’m not trying to be cruel or anything,
but don’t spend too much on a girl who, in all likelihood, you will break up with in a few months.

Out of those, I would say either the Return one with the one silver heart, or the similar one with 2. The first one is kind of cheesy, in my opinion.

If I had to choose a gift, I would set her up on a scavenger hunt…with you, or a nice gift at the conclusion.

Or, try something like this:
Let’s say,for example, she has 5 letters in her name. So, 4 days before her birthday you give her a card with the first letter of her name written on it, and a message or a present starting with that letter…keep doing this until her birthday, where you give her the biggest gift with the last letter of her first name

Wow, you’re a devoted guy…it’s just sweet. lol especially Tiffany.

If you must spend all that much, however, I’d say the Return necklace with the lock. It’s a bit more unique and says something not too obvious like the first “I love you” one.

(But if it was me, really, just a nice chain with the One Ring hanging on it would be nice. That’s just cause I’m such a nerd. )

Personally, I really like getting gifts that are made by my boyfriend. (Either physically made or something like a poem.) Those just really show me that he put in a lot of effort and that it was really meaningful to him. Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable when my boyfriend spends money on me. However, if you make sure that she knows you really put a lot of thought into this necklace, it could be a really sweet gift. And I definitely think the second one is the prettiest!

I second Grisam’s suggestion. And there’s no point in spending that kind of money on a HS girlfriend unless you were to get a certain something in return.
