<p>I saw an earlier thread asking about the guys at Oberlin...so, how are the girls at Oberlin? again, not trying to sound shallow.</p>

<p>Hm. That’s a rather subjective question, yeah? It depends on your taste.</p>
<p>That said, if you like beautiful, intelligent women, you’re in luck. I’ve found Oberlin girls really, really attractive because they don’t all look the same (unlike girls in my high school.) If you go for the bleach blond prep look, you might be a tad bit disappointed. Also, Ohio’s climate doesn’t really lend itself to really skimpy clothes. A quarter of Oberlin alums marry one another, so obviously, it works for a lot of us.</p>
<p>It’s also skewed more heavily women-to-men. So the odds are in your favor. (I’m assuming y’all are guys. Pardon me if I’m being sexist.)</p>
<p>It’s pretty difficult to generalize about 1,400ish people whose only universal commonalities are their sex and their college choice. Oberlin women are like the student body in general: smart, talented, and motivated; quirky, generally progressive; deeply passionate (bordering on dorky) about at least one big thing in their lives. As for appearance, it’s fundamentally subjective, but I think most folks at Oberlin are pretty attractive (and also very resistant to being judged on looks alone).</p>
<p>I know plenty of straight men and lesbians who are cheerfully dating away at Oberlin, and I’m quite happy with my girlfriend, so, you know, I’ve got no complaints :)</p>
