Any sales going on? I still need a lot of summer clothing. Any stores I should check out?

todays sunday. check the sunday paper.

If you're cheap, Marshall's is apparently having a huge clearance sale right now.

Ann Taylor has a few sales.

JCpenny was having a sale last week..dont know if its still on

American Eagle had their summer sale last week, and so did Old Navy. I'm not sure if they're still going on though. Probably. They're trying to get rid of everything to bring in the fall stuff next week. I heard JCPenney has some stuff on sale too.

Oh, and if you're cheap, I've notice Wal-mart has a TON of cheap cloth/mesh shorts (for like $7). I also got a camisole top there yesterday for around $7 also.

J. Crew was having a summer sale as of yesterday.

Yeah...I'm not a girl, but I was at the mall yesterday and J. Crew, Banana Republic, Express, American Eagle, and a lot of other nice stores were having AMAZING SALES

this is the height of summer sale season, before stores start getting their fall stuff out. nordstrom anniversary sale starts this friday.

Actually I'd say you just missed the good sales by a week. Gap had a lot of good stuff but it's kinda picked over now.

EXPRESS has a huge sale, I just bought 2 tanks and a cardigan(for fall) for like 20 bucks.

and A E has some sales. ( just bought 15 dollar jeans )

and Victory Secret still have their semi-annual sale.

I don't know if you have anything like this where you live, but my favorite place to buy really nice clothes for next to nothing is the kind of thrift store that's actually selective about the sort of clothes they take. You can get some amazing deals that way. For example, last week I bought an American Eagle skirt for $5 and a Betsey Johnson dress for $18, and they didn't even look worn.

do you mean Plato's Closet?

No, I was talking about Mustard Seed in Bethesda, MD.

Do you know any places (selective thrift stores with designer clothing) in Boston?

Good thing my winter clothes are my summer clothes + sweatshirt.

labyrinth5 -- sorry, I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me if there were, but I haven't spent enough time in Boston (or really anywhere besides the DC area) to know anything specific.

hey guys! Im moving to Cambridge next year and have NO CLUE what kinda cloth to pack.. i mean i know its cold but im used to having really cold winters and reallyy hot summers so i have both very wintery and very summery cloth.. is tht pretty much whatll need thr or r the summers kinda like spring..? haha sorry to the OP for diverging the point of the thread!

LOL... funny how the guy clothing threads had a way lot more interest than this girl cloting thread....

bumping thread

I also recommend quality used clothing stores. Forever 21 is fantastic. I don't know if they're having a sale right now, but they have a staggering array of really cute stuff for reasonable prices. It's impossible to go there without finding a few items you like.
