@minniemice18 Same with me, I figured that since it’s such a large program that other people would decline after accepting too, so at least I wouldn’t be the only one (if I did end up declining). Better safe than sorry, imo.
Anyone in LA? We do not have levels in LA.
I have a question. How selective is this program? Is anyone on this board who did not get in?
@lumiere16 I did the exact same thing. I haven’t heard from the other programs I applied to but I didn’t want to let this opportunity go by, especially since it’s not guaranteed that I will be accepted to the others.
@lumiere16 i did that as well. I don’t want to end up with nothing like @unicornduchess had said.
My d is also accepted. I have heard that the experience is a game changer, though of course with so many sites, it will vary.
I wish they would change the name of the program. It’s hard to imagine that colleges with good CS programs would view it as something to be taken seriously.
weren’t we supposed to receive the welcome packet today? anyone receive it yet?
Candidates had to reply by April 6. I’m sure they will send the welcome packets out as soon as they have filled all the slots.
Did anyone get the welcome packets?
@minniemice18 nope, not yet
@tabmas oh okay. Let me know if you get it please :-bd
@minniemice18 Sure!
@minniemice18 Where did you get in, If you don’t mind me asking?
@collegeyeet did you accept your offer to goldman sachs
@mjaiteh15 i did! did you?
@mjaiteh15 I don’t mind. I got in Newark. My friend got waitlisted for NY
I’m really concerned because after I completed all the waivers etc, I never got confirmation or the welcome packet. Did anyone hear anything from Girls Who Code after you confirmed your spot? I’m pretty sure that I submitted everything on time, but it’s really worrying me.
I haven’t received anything yet either after confirming my spot.
@collegeyeet Yes I did, I talked to the lady, if you submitted everything you should be fine… I’ll be at Goldman Sachs so I’ll see you there
