I got accepted to Amazon’s NYC Location, I heard back on Monday the 5th.
If you were waitlisted, you’re priority for the second round, from what I heard it’s easier to get in when you’ve been waitlisted. So don’t lose hope!!
Also, If you need someone to look over your creative writings… I’m here!

@tx201610 yeah I also thought my essay was pretty good. I spend a decent amount of time on it…I guess it’s just super competitive/people are really good writers. On the bright side, there’s still hope for us according to gsunflower!

Being waitlisted is not a rejection, definitely be attentive. There’s always people giving up their spot and others being invited to come.
Again if any want to revise their creative writing or any questions that need answers asap, msg me!

For those who got accepted, what was the theme of your essay ?
I asked my D (she’s not on cc) and she said it was on leadership but she implied sisterhood within it. Not sure if that helps.
Although today is the dead line, I thought, maybe this could help a bit.
For those who feel as if they need a quick check on their creative writings:
-If you’re in a Computer Science AP class… DO NOT INCLUDE
(you will be automatically rejected, they don’t accept anyone experienced)
-Do not write about an extremely personal story, they want to get to know your personality, not your life/struggles
-Use strong words, if needed guidance, search the word’s synonym.
-Come off very strong
-Bring up what you want to be (it’s okay if you don’t know)
-Also bring up: why you really want to be in the program.

Waitlist could be because you declined last time ? They might be keeping track of applicants

Got waitlisted for second round (applied to 2 locations in the Bay Area). The email said waitlists are unranked but would ED applicants who were waitlisted still have higher priority if a spot opens up?
Someone had mentioned ED waitlist candidates get priority in second round. Not sure post that how waitlist works. Need to see if wait list status changes to acceptance .
