@dowzerw No, they have programs all over the US! Personally, I’m on the east coast.
Crossing my fingers for the results to come out tomorrow but I’m guessing it’ll be another week
Ahhhh I’m super nervous for application decisions, I really need to get into this!! Wishing that they had given a definite date, I hold my breath whenever I check my email lol
I also applied! But on a whim
Not sure if I’ll go even if I get accepted due to scheduling conflicts…
I posted this in the other forum, but…
I was really hoping decisions would be released today, but I’m guessing I’ll be waiting for a bit longer…someone commented on a GWC instagram post asking when decisions will be released, and this was the reply: @aishuu29 we’ll be sending out notifications before the end of April!
I also saw on the FAQ section of the website that decisions will be released “in April.”
Hello! You gals seem so anguished, so I’m here to say that the decisions will be out April 16th.
Source: I’m a GWC alumni and have a friend that was involved in giving presentations about this year’s program (she told me).
Thanks @granolatacos for letting us know, though a Saturday seems like a strange release day! Looking forward to the results because the suspense is killing me!
AHHHH SO EXCITED TYSM @granolatacos
The wait is killing me, but thank you @granolatacos .
Did anyone read the article on GWC FB page that GWC is tripling it’s enrollment this year to 40,000 girls (up from 13,000 last year)? That seems to bode well, but I wonder if accepting such a large number diminishes the prestige of the program. Thoughts?
To clarify, the 40,000 refers to club membership, not the summer program.
I feel like in some ways it does make it less of a competitive program but at the same time, girls who code has a lot if funds from a wide range of organizations. Maybe even more than the prestigious programs. Just my thoughts though. @chillkitty
I emailed them about release dates for results a couple days ago and got this reply…
“We intend to notify all students of their application status around April 20. We will contact students via email with final decisions.”
Looks like the wait might be a little longer than previously expected
That’s actually a little nerve racking because I got into another program and I have to reply by the 18th, but obviously I would rather go to girls who code. Hopefully it comes out a little before.
Still waiting…
anyone got a response yet? i heard gwc would be releasing decisions today but i haven’t got anything yet
I just checked my FluidReview application portal and it appears that I’ve been accepted to an Austin program!
no response yet…
Seems like I was accepted to girls who code as well in Boston. Logged in to my portal and it showed something about the on boarding stage and filling in documents to accept my spot, etc. So I believe I was accepted and they’ll let us know soon!
How do you log into your portal?/ Where do you access the portal?
