I am really interested in a career in urban and regional planning.

I am currently in a Masters Program in Environmental Science and Policy.

I have the option to earn a certificate specialization in GIS Systems and Spatial Analysis at the School of Design.

Do you guys think this is worth the extra semester to get?

How would a Masters Degree in Environmental Science and Policy and a specialization certificate in GIS Systems and Spatial Analysis fare out in the workforce?

Other two options for specialization are in Land Use Preservation, and Urban Redevelopment.

Which one would be the best? Is GIS specialization really a good thing to have today?
