Give a youngster guidance: how do I get a 2400 SAT in 4 months?

I’m taking a prep class and read an SAT prep book. I took a practice test in the class, score rose 200 pts (in one week!)

But I guess its different for you b/c my SAT score is very low so I guess it’s easier to get it up

Yeah honestly if u get 2010 u shud think of schools more in ur league… sometimes ur just born smart… my sis got 2320 with only princeton review book… some ppl are just born to go to Ivies… usually the people that dream and talk a lot end up getting rejected… be passionate about urself not stressing to make ur app look good

Hm … was that a real SAT? Or was that your prep company’s simulated SAT?

^

Prep company

I think prep classes are pretty good imo idk why people don’t like them at all

Prep companies, for excessive fees, usually only raise scores by less than 100 points.

Self-studying is both cheaper and more effective. It’s all I did and I got a 2360.

^
Wow, using only prep books? How did you do it? ;o

Like I said earlier…

In the end, all it comes down to is BATTLING.

Also, have faith in the Lord. Have faith in your training. Have faith in yourself. Have faith.

Ivies don’t always like to see SuperScored SATs. That isn’t showing anything, your just the same as all the other 50,000 applicants. I personally know someone who got a 1900 and got into Harvard out of 2400. Sometimes you need to show a little bit morendiversity and 2400 will not guarantee your ticket to Harvard.

Stop complaining about getting ONLY a 2010. I would die of joy if I got anything 2000+. A 2010 doesn’t mean you won’t get into a fantastic school by any means unless your GPA is really low. Not getting into an Ivy doesn’t mean you’re stupid or anything. If you don’t get into an Ivy, surely you could get into something close. I’d be happy to get into USC.

A 2010 is really good. Btw, where can I find silverturtle’s guide anyway?

Not for top colleges.

SilverTurtle’s guide seems very stringent, but feasible. I’ll try to apply it, especially during the summer. Is there any other way to prepare for the SAT? I’m a freshman, so if I work on practice tests repetitively, it should be beneficial. I’m aiming for a 2400 as well, so other techniques for practice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
