give advice

Hi i am going to be high school sophmore this fall of 2012. I am currently debating about weather i should become a doctor or a lawyer. I am passionate about both but with the crummy outlook of the legal market, i am leaning towords a doctor. I plan on going to suffolk comunity college for 2 yrs and get all my liberal arts out of the way and then transfer to hofstra and finish with a bachlors degree in accounting ( i want to keep law open as an option). I plan on fufilling min prereq courses for med school ( is that enough?). Also is there anything i can improve on during high school.

Freshman grades

Geometry honors - 87

As you can see, i excel at classes i like ( problem with that?). I am a very good purswasive writer and i am
fasinated with biology. I plan on working on golf and might volenteer at pecomic bay med center. In college, i plan on doing accounting interships with pwc ( since my aunt works there). Any advice for me to do in high school, college? I am not interested in going to ivy med but what about mount sinai and stony brook. What stats do i need? Am i standing out by going to med school with a acounting major? Do i have to do research to compete with other applicants.critisism welcome. Srry for the long post. Thanks

high school sophomore? Don’t even worry about med school. Focus on getting into college.

absolutely work on your science classes and make sure you take 4 years of both math and science. Biology was a required class my sophomore year so if it isn’t required, make sure you take it! Also try to get in AP classes (I took AP English junior year and am taking AP Human Geography and AP Psychology Senior year) so you can knock some of those college credits out of the way. You can save money and get some liberal arts classes over with!
and focus on just getting into college right now (SAT/ACT/GPA), don’t worry about med school until you’re in college!
