Well i am curious.... what do you guys think i am able/capable of going to as a college. Lets throw some stats out here......
GPA- 3.5/90
Sat scores:
Math- 630
Verbal- 590
Writing- 600

I am interested in... medicine. But leaving that out of the picture i am curious to find out what others think i would be able to have a chance to get into... i know its not ivy league material... but hopefully i am good enough for atleast a few of the top 100 colleges in America....
Some i am looking at are NYU, Stony brook, oh yeah i live in nyc, cuny honors, Rochester :D, and any other decent schools out there. You can address the schools directly or give your own opinion. Thanks in advanced.

How big a school do you want? Do you want a completely urban or rural location, or somewhere in between? What sort of social life (i.e. sports, Greek life, more intellectual) do you want to have?

Your stats are absolutely fine, but in order to give you suggestions we need to hear more about your preferences.

Well i dont really have a preference, i am into anything, i live in urban and i have lived in rural areas. The school size does not matter to me either. I just want an environment where i can get my studies done, intellectually.

If you're really into the intellectual thing, and the philosophy of studying for the sake of learning and stuff, you may want to look into Reed College

It seems like the OP wants to stay close to home, since the potential schools so far are all in New York.

NYU and Rochester are good starting points. Also look at Sarah Lawrence, Skidmore, Union, and Ithaca College (they should all be good matches). The CUNYs and SUNYs are good safeties.
