I've had the "coming days" screen since Friday, and I'm assuming that means sometime this week I'll hear back based on what I've read on here. The decision thread is full of all acceptances from kids with way above average PSU stats, so I'm hoping someone could enlighten me - a more average student.

-Applied Undecided (DUS)
-Applied for Fall but also for summer as well
-GPA 3.79/4 4.69 weighted
-13 honors and 7 AP's on my transcript
-Class Rank 12/279
-SAT 1730
-Out of State from North Carolina.

I'd put more information but I don't think it matters since large state schools like PSU are mainly numbers driven. I know my SAT's are on the lower end but I'm hoping my grades/class rank will pull me in. I got the coming days message really fast which is making me nervous....I know I'm not in the top x% of kids that apply, but from what I read on here, most people have to wait a while to get in, while those who are either really high achievers or not high enough achievers get notified early.

I got accepted this morning, I have a 3.8 weighted GPA and a 2000 on the SAT and I am also out of state (NJ). I think you should be fine I didn’t apply undecided (I’m at Eberly College of Science) but your GPA looks good and your SAT is fine. Your transcript also helps so those honors and AP’s are definitely a booster

Thanks - Yeah I know the 2/3 GPA thing is what’s made me fairly confident that I can get in since I have a great high school record, I just don’t test well on the idiot tests, I mean, standardized tests.

Etuck- our son is a senior at UP. His stats were GPA 3.3 and SAT 600 for CR and Writing and 540 math-1740 total. Also out of state like you. I think you have an extremely good chance. Someone earlier said that when you have the “coming days” status this early in the game it’s a good sign-that they dont flat out reject or even defer this early I know it’s hard to relax but try any way! You should know this week and I think you’ll be celebrating soon.
