Give me Ideas please!!!!

Hi everyone, I want to start an international club at my school!!!! The sad thing is I have no idea what we would do. Any ideas?!! :)

You could have a different day about different cultures or learn about different foods and have different types each time or something.

^ That sounds just like the Modern Language Club at my school and its really fun and draws lots of members.

Yea, this sounds like my school’s Foreign Language Club. I’m not a member, but my French teacher runs and he’s always telling us about the different types of things that they do. Around Halloween, they celebrate the Day of the Dead for Hispanic culture (I forgot what it’s called in Spanish), they celebrate Mardi Gras, they watch foreign films, and around Christmas, they make buche de noel (a traditional French cake or something. lol). I’ve gone to a couple meetings in the past, and it’s always been pretty fun. Good luck with your club. There’s really a lot that you can do with it. :)

^Dia de los muertos?
And yea I wish we had a club like that. We just have separate clubs for each culture, not one big one, I wish we did!

^Haha, yea. I kind of remembered what it was called, but not the whole thing, so I didn’t want to butcher it. Lol.

Also, why don’t you suggest that the two clubs merge? My school used to have a separate French Club and then a Foreign Language Club too. They merged sophomore year because they weren’t very successful on their own, but it’s doing very well as one club now.

True, good idea! We have french, spanish, muslim, asian, and i think african one…I kinda wish it all was one. Because separately I know they are kind of small.

^Oh yea, merging all of those would be awesome. You’d probably never run out of things to do. Lol.

Haha yea, I really like cultural stuff, I dont know y lol

I do too. The only reason I can’t be a regular member of my school’s club is because they meet on the same day as another club I’m in. :frowning: But, learning about other cultures is really interesting.
