Giving the recommendations to teachers

I have two teachers that will be great for recommending me to RPI: one is a AP Physics teacher and the other is a technical/engineering teacher. Should I give an Academic Recommendation for both of them, one of them, or both of them and my counselor (could that be too much?)

For your convenience, I listed the possible sent recommendations (excluding 'no rec'):
Technical/Engineering Teacher only
Physics Teacher only
Tech/Engie Teacher AND Physics Teacher
Tech/Engie Teacher, Physics Teacher, AND Counselor

And just to be sure: the Academic Recommendation is the letter of recommendations sent by teachers/faculty to the school, correct?

My son sent three, one from GC and two teachers. We didn’t think it was too much, and since he was accepted, apparently neither did they  And yes, you are correct about the recs.

Thanks for the info, RunsWScissors!

Just FYI, the RPI Common app allows for 3 teacher recs, the counselor rec, and 3 “Other Recommenders”. DS will submit 3 teacher recs and the counselor rec.

If you can get two strong teacher recs and a strong GC rec, I think you should submit all of them. I sent in the same number of recs and was accepted.
