Glasses?

I've had this problem for awhile now...I have trouble seeing things that are far away. I went to the eye doctor a couple of years ago, and they said I had perfect vision.

Well, I went to a different one just today, and he said that I have 20/25 vision in one eye and 20/30 in the other and a little bit of astigmatism. He told me that mots people with vision like that choose not to have glasses, but that it was my choice. When he had the prescription lenses, I could see a lot better, and more clearly, and he noted that...So I was like yeah, I'll take glasses because I'd like to be able to see more.

My mom doesn't believe me that glasses would help me even though It's really only distance that I have trouble with...the doctor said I was obviously struggling and she said she would only be willing to pay for them if I wear them all the time, but she really thinks that I just want them for some odd reason.

What do you guys think?

get a job and buy a pair for yourself... vision changes over time, so that's really normal..i had a good eyesight for a while and then it got worse..I only wear my glasses half the time b/c i just need them to see far little details like writing.

as for your mom, i'm sorry she's said that..but you know, i think that how you use glasses are personal, and not a parent's choice. but, everyone's different.

I have a job, and I have money...So that's not the issue. If my mom ends up not paying for them, I will.

Just out of curiosity - what is your eyesight?

i have no clue..its not horrifying, but its not stellar eyesight, but i haven't gone to check in a very long time..my parents are too lazy, and i can't work or drive..yet.

eyesight changes. i had perfect vision until third grade when it dropped to 20/90 and has been getting worse every year. now i'm at 20/170 in my left eye and 20/200 in my right. not fun.

i think you should get the glasses. if you want them and they help, it shouldn't be a problem. although, i do think you should wear them frequently to reassure your mom. (it'll also reduce headaches if you get them- both vision-related and mom-related lol)

brie - Lol.
