Hi, so I don't know if anyone here will have the answers since it's a relatively new program, but I've been reading the course descriptions online and I can't seem to determine whether you can take a Global Cultures class in an area unrelated to where you want to spend your junior year. For instance, I really want to take the Middle Eastern Cultures class, but that isn't at all related to where I want to spend my year abroad - I just feel that it is very important to be informed about the history of the Middle East. I also find the subject really interesting. Does anyone know if your Global Cultures class has to be related to the country to which you want to travel?

I am also thinking of doing a cross-school minor in Comparative Literature and considering the Combined B.A./M.A. program. Can any current students speak to the quality of either one of these experiences?

I have to admit that I'm also curious about the connection between Liberal and Global Liberal Studies. How interconnected are the programs? Does anyone know the admission rate for Global Liberal Studies? Is it easier than getting into CAS? I'm not trying to put down the program or LSP at all - as you can see, I'm really excited about it - but I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious.
