The Global Studies BA program is entirely online. Has anyone ever done this, or something like it through another CSU?

Also, I was looking into this as well. It’s a 10 unit certificate for ecotourism management, a field of work I’m considering because I’m interested in international travel, foreign cultures, and environmental conservation and awareness.

I think the two could go well together.
I guess I’m just curious to hear opinions about either of these. I hadn’t heard of the Global Studies major before I found this, but it seems like a good general degree to have for various jobs. However I’ve also heard that any major with the word “studies” in it is often looked down upon as a useless fluff degree… is there any truth to that? This one seems worthwhile to me.
Also, does having an online degree look bad? I hear mixed things. But this wouldn’t be from a random unheard-of online school, they’re from CSUs.
Thoughts?
