Hello there and thank you for the information I'm hoping you will be able to supply. With that being said... I am currently a freshman at the University of Florida and I am thinking of a transfer to UVA. My question is this: How is the financial aide for transfer students at UVA, and how smooth is the transition (Will I lose a great deal of credits, Will it be difficult to graduate on time, etc.) Once again, thank you very much for your information - you are a real asset to this forum.

All right. I'm sorry that it's taken me a while to get back to you. I've been busy w/ holiday stuff. Anyway, I just talked to the Admissions Office, I have your answers.

Financial Aide for transfer students is exactly the same as for all other students.

Your transition should be smooth, and you'll be able to transfer most if not all of your credits from Florida to UVa. Unless the requirements have changed since I graduated, if you're in the College, you will need 120 credits to graduate, which is on average 15 credits a semester. As long as you're on schedule, you should be fine.

Thanks for the information... it's comforting to know that I wouldn't be sold short in the financial department. Once again, thanks for the information.
