<p>I have a glossy one, its much clearer. It might reflect light though, but ive never had that problem.</p>
<p>Glossy screens get dirtier easier, and they glare in bright lights sometimes. I'd go for the matte.</p>
<p>This is all just personal preference... if you haven't used either one, I'd say go into Best Buy or something and just ask to take a look at glossy vs. matte screens. You'll notice a difference.</p>
<p>I personally prefer glossy because I almost never work outdoors or around very bright lights.</p>
<p>I'd say the only beef with my glossy screen is the fact that I can't see anything on my computer if I'm on a 5 hour car/bus ride and the sun is bright and shining</p>
<p>I've heard some say they think the glossy screen is kind of "gimmicky." I'm fine with it though, so I'll agree with LaptopLover that it's really based upon personal preference.</p>
<p>i have glossy, but it does get dirty a lot, and it reflects light like no other. So I would say unless you won't have a TV and plan on watching a lot of movies or maybe playing a lot of games or doing graphics or anything like that that requires better looking colors, get matte.</p>
