Does anyone know if George Mason release their Early Action decisions before Christmas? I know the website say by the 31st but I'm guessing they do it before break. My son has applied there as well as UVA, W&M, Northeastern and Syracuse.

The website says early action decisions mailed after Dec 15th.

We just got a big envelope with “The journey to your future has begun…” on the front. Better be an acceptance and not some more random mailers!

My daughter applied 3 years ago and got her letter early. We are anxiously waiting for my sons acceptance. I hope we get a big envelope too!

Do you think I could make it into GMU?

This is my top school and I’m nervously waiting for a decision. What do you all think?

Yes I think you will get in!

Just got my envelope today!

Should I be worried that I haven’t recieved a letter yet like most people?

My son hasn’t either and I’m sure he will get in. He also applied honors, so maybe it’s different?

Nothing here either, and S didn’t apply for honors. Has anything changed on your GMU page?

I applied for the honors college as well, but apparently they don’t make those decisions until February. I live in Rhode Island, which is maybe two or three mail days away, if that helps.

@barisaxmax: When did you submit your application? I live right in Northern VA and still haven’t seen anything from them. Wonder if they review and send out decisions in order of the dates the applications are submitted.

The GMU website at [Mason Admissions: Application Deadlines](How to Apply | George Mason University) says Freshman Non-Binding Early Action decisions begin to mail on December 15th, which is tomorrow. Is that snail mail or email?

My son was just accepted EA to GMU! His envelope came in the mail. Nothing about Honors College, so unless it comes separately he didn’t get into Honors.

We were just on campus last night seeing the Vienna Boys Choir at George Mason Center for the Performing Arts. My wife and I were commenting on what a nice campus it is and how nice it would be to be a student there.

Congrats, Baronbvp… it’s nice to have some good news so you can relax before Christmas! My son goes to GMU and loves it. The campus is very safe and walk-able.

Thanks bookmouse! Apparently Honors College acceptance and possible merit aid comes separately in Jan/Feb, so hopefully he will get those too.

Also, the GMU website says Virginia’s State Council of Higher Education placed Mason at the top of the list of Virginia schools for highest average starting salary of its graduates. I’m not sure if the statistics are skewed because GMU graduates more engineers than UVA, but that’ a nice stat. :)

Saturday… Still didn’t get my letter yet. Kinda nervous.
To those who received their letter where do u live? I live in Virginia, Fairfax.(northern va)

We got sent some kind of special shortened application - not sure if it’s because I’m an alum, or why she was chosen. We live in MD.

When were your applications completed?

A week before deadline. Northern Va
To those who received or not received the decision please post your location.
