Has anyone who applied GMU early action received a decision yet? I know it says they will start mailing decisions on Dec. 15th, but I was just curious because in previous years some people heard before. Thanks!

Some people who apply through the modern minds application (my understanding is that this is mostly, if not exclusively, OOS kids) are the ones who receive decisions slightly before dec. 15th, probably the 11th at the earliest. The majority of the rest come out between the 15th and the Christmas, but a few will come out right after Christmas. I believe that the email notification comes in between the 20th and Christmas, but I could be wrong about that.

Thank you! I hope that I hear something soon.

Any news?

Has anyone received a decision yet? Some people are saying that they have received acceptance at GMU

@toughparent, where did you hear about people getting accepted? Saw on Twitter that GMU mailed the letters yesterday.

I’m an OOS modern minds applicant and I haven’t heard anything yet

Some people at my school have gotten emails

I noticed on twitter that some people have received their letters, mostly Virginia students, I guess they get their mail faster than us oos people I’m guessing in the next day or so for the rest of us!

I know someone who got accepted to the Nursing Program last week through an email. Nursing generally has a different admissions process but we will be hearing soon enough as the letters were taken to the post office yesterday!!

Got my acceptance letter today! The letter was dated yesterday, December 10th.

$20,000 merit scholarship ($5,000 per year)

Do they send you an email with the decision? Or is it only by letter

Wow… pretty shocked at how dinky my merit scholarship is compared to the stats in here. I got 12k (3,000 a year)

In State

Might have been the crappy ECs that did it. I put that I was applying to a bunch of good schools when they asked… gah, I knew I shouldn’t have done that. They probably figured I wouldn’t attend.

Did they send merit awards in the mail? I am freaking out because I got my mailed letter yesterday with no acknowledge of merit but I have 2200+ SAT scores and a perfect GPA.

Got my acceptance letter today! It was dated December 10th

@bassguitar I don’t think 3k is anything to scoff at because it’s almost literally 1/3 of tuition if you are instate. Also Mason is a public school so it does not have that much funding for scholarships. But at the same time I understand your bitterness because I expected at least some scholarship but got none.
