GMU Student Attempting to Transfer (What are my chances?)

Hello everyone,

I am currently a Freshman at George Mason University and am majoring in Government & International Politics (Mason's version of Political Science). -- Volunteered on Election Day in November 2010 for local congressman

Did you apply to any of those schools in highschool? If you did, I’m kind of surprised if you didn’t get in.

VT and JMU - In
and
UVA - Most likely

My friend is transferring from GMU to UVA and his statistics aren’t even as good as yours. (He was wait-listed for UVA last year to my surprise, too… And he got into William and Mary) He’s asian and his highschool GPA: 3.5ish. I don’t remember his APs, but I know he didn’t take many. You have a good chance at UVA and guaranteed for VT and JMU.

Thank you I really appreciate the comment. I applied to Virginia Tech and James Madison last year but not UVA (I figured that was a waste of an application fee). I got wait-listed – and eventually denied – at VA Tech and denied at JMU. I’m hoping my chances are good to get into VT seeing as I have had many friends who fared well after one year at Radford and then transferred into Tech.

Once again thank you for the time Sandy.
