Go Ahead, call me stupid.....

stupid question, I'm sure, but what is meant by a SAT "superscore"?

hahaah you;re not stupid it's a completely valid question but you could have just googled it!

a superscore is the best of each section in all your sat attempts
say i did the sat 3 times and got these scores

May M:800 WR: 700 CR: 760
June M: 760 WR: 800 CR: 680
October M: 700 WR; 750 CR: 800

then my superscore would be M: 800, CR: 800, WR: 800 and i would have a 2400 superscore :D

What schools use the superscore?

i'm really not sure because i'm an international ( don't know all that much about colleges)

i do know that caltech does it
and i think alot of the top schools do it but im not sure at all.... you'd have to ask someone else

a lot of schools do it.
there've been threads here about it you could probably find.

Even if all schools do, it's not great of an advantage; just like they superscore you they'll superscore everyone, so you're back in pool.

It'll provide an advantage to those who are more inconsistent.

stupid .

Well that is what you asked for! :D
