Go Badgers!

I feel like I am destined to play Jimmy Carter to Barrons and Nova. I had hoped that I would amount to much more in life.

Leave all the pettiness aside. You are both better than that. Love and respect one another. Stay in your respective university boards and enjoy your alma maters to the fullest.

Love and Respect…not a bad theme.

Don’t get me started on Jimmy Carter. I hated him with a passion. A sniveling loser of a one termer. I prefer Nova any day to him.

PS, actually I think unless there is some major new data most topics have been beaten to death so I don’t see many long battles going forward. Time will tell. I would like to see Biddy Martin and the new Uva President Sullivan in a cage match. They actually look kinda alike. My money is on Biddy because she was a real star athlete in HS. She grew up in Lynchburg, VA where I plan to retire–just outside C’ville. What a coincidence.

I am not a fan of Jimmy. I grew up in Georgia and remember cringing every time he or his family appeared in the news…what an embarrassment. I am particularly angry at his decision to pull major federal grants from my university (Georgia Tech) because he felt that it looked like he was favoring his alma mater. Because of that decision, solar energy research was set back quite a bit.

I put him and George W on the same level of incompetency. On the plus side, he founded Habitat for Humanity…still waiting for W.

Thanks for all the information you provide Barrons. It is appreciated.

So far Obama has followed the Bush programs about 90%. Just add a little populist rhetoric in the mix and it’s Bush III. But as I often say, I don’t really care that much about national politics as it barely impacts my day to day life.
