Damn. That's a new one, abcdefgclass2006. ;)

i'm just kidding about the "owned" part....i'm thrilled that I have the opportunity to be a TA for some of the brightest students in the country.

"i'm thrilled that I have the opportunity to be a TA for some of the brightest students in the country."

Have you ever been to stanford? (I kid)

ouch!

(10 characters)

Show those kids at the farm what a real grading curve looks like... ;)

Go Bears! Boooooo Stanford.

hey abcdefg,

would you mind sharing your stats for entering stanford from cal? stanford is currently my top choice for their cancer biology phd program, and i was wondering what kind of stats i would need to make it into their grad school... i'm assuming you've been accepted into one of their hard science programs?

sure thing: i'm chemistry though...

GPA a little under 3.8, with Chem GPA around 3.8 as well
General GRE 1430
Subject GRE 760

4 semester of research....publication in progress
Great letter of rec from prof I did research for, and I assume the 2 others from chem faculty were pretty good too.

During the interview be sure to be SPECIFIC about the area of your field you are interested in...and which faculty member in the department you are interested in working with. This is key...as the department to which you are applying to does not want to waste resources supporting graduate students that won't stick around to seriously pursue projects of its faculty.

Best of luck.

thanks for the heads up. I hope I can be a TA for stanford students in the near future as well haha.
