It costs $50 for the four years and $20 for one year of the program, but is it worth it? Will we actually use it or use regular debit/credit cards?

Well, I'm from outside of Philadelphia, so it is definately worth it for me. Besides moving in, I will be taking Amtrak all the time, it will probably be worth by maybe first year or two. I don't plan on using the debit card part for anything other than laundry and the like, I have my own. Hope thats helpful at all.

I had it this past year, and I didn't even use it once. For things like student discounts at the movies, they don't even look for the Advantage sticker, they just look to see that you have the Georgetown ID. Don't waste the $20 unless you are going to actually use things like Amtrak

You can get discounts at urbanoutfitters.com and such with it too. I think like 10%. Other places too, but it's not well advertised, so you have to know where you can get a discount and ask for it.

It's definitely worth it if you're going to be using amtrak at all. I already made back the $50 in savings on train tickets to visit family and friends. If not, then who knows. It can be hard to remember what places have discounts.

I live in california so I probably won't be taking the train. Is it only worth getting if you plan on using the train? What other places do you get discounts at?
