<p>So.... is the Go Card with Student Advantage worth the cost? Also, how sensitive is the card to damage? :cool:</p>

<p>I think i read that someone said not to put your keys and your card in the same pocket. It may have been at another board but it's still a good idea nonetheless.</p>

<p>It depends on if you think you're going to you use it. I have student advantage for 4 years and I've already made the money back on just a few train tickets. I don't really know all the discounts we get, but the amtrak one is definitely worth it if you're going to take the train ever.
It's not a problem to put your keys and go card in the same pocket, most people have them on the same keychain. If you don't separate stuff it's actually easier to keep track of it.
A GoCard is your id card, you need it to get into your dorm and other buildings. It has your meal plan on it so you need it at leo's. You also put money on it to use at vending machines, Vital Vittles, coffee places, bookstore, Wisey's, etc. You keep it with you 24/7 basically.</p>

<p>The amtrak discount is 15% which is nice considering how overpriced train tickets are.</p>

<p>how much of a benefit will studentadvantage have if i won't be using amtrak (i'm local - from maryland). wat other good discounts does it have? the card says to go and see at studentadvantage.com to see all thousands of palces with discounts, but i can't really find a link to that on the site, so i wanna know wat other discounts are useful enough to make up the money it costs to get it?</p>
