Go for a Illustration major or Graphic Design major?

I'm still in HS trying to plan ahead.
Need help deciding which would be a smarter major for my future.
By smarter I mean, which should bring me more success once i graduate.
I want to become a graphic designer I've been self taught since 7th grade. I have a knack for it so schooling would fly by. But I'm also very passionate about going for an illustration major. Ultimately my goal in life is to start a clothing company with my illustrations on it. But if that doesn't work out I'd like to have a job where i can live comfortably. So i'm kinda stuck in the middle.

Here's a mini portfolio of what i do.

If you have a talent for graphic design, why wouldn’t you pursue that?

You don’t need to be an illustration major to draw. There are always electives you can use for additional illustration courses.

Thanks that’s actually a great point.
