Anyone else on here going to MSU? I can't believe we have this dead of a forum and we are the 3rd largest university in the country!!!!!!

I'm going to MSU! Very excited! :)

I'm going for Engineering and I got two different scholorships!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

It's one of my top choices. I plan on doing Astrophysics, but I will have to wait for scholarships.

smitty, what were your stats, since u said you got scholarships?

Out Of State
GPA: 3.3
SAT: 1760 (510cr,630math,620writing)
ACT: 24
EC: I have a ton of ecs from volunteer to two sports 4 years....it is endless
SAT2: MATH2=560 chem=560
AP's= 3, honors=8

o ya and one of the scholarships was a legacy because my dad went there!!!!!

r u serious? i have a 30 ACT and 3.9 GPA, VP of student council, Pres of a few clubs, national honor society, went to ADS, national champ in figure skating, in state, and got NOTHING!

Three words: Out of state

I'm definitely considering MSU, i got an $8000 scholarship w/ a 1430 SAT and 3.7 gpa, out of state as well... I went to ADS too, but I don't think I'll be getting any money from that. Icicle did you already get notification from ADS telling whether you did or did not qualify? I haven't heard anything.

i haven't heard either. maybe that 8000 was for ADS. when did u get it?

what is ADS???????

alumni distinguised scholarship competition.

STate invites all of its top applicants to take this test to win schoarship money. unfortunately, very few ppl actually win any money from this.

I can't believe they're not giving me any money... argh! It's cause i'm in-state.

no the 8000 isnt for ads, its for being out of state & having good stats, i got it with my acceptance

and even with that scholarship im still paying more than i would in-state (its not fair cuz i used to live in michigan 2 years ago but i no longer qualify for instate tuition cuz i moved to jersey)

i also got accepted and planning to study accounting and business. Im still makeing my choice between msu, niagara, im from rochester ny, and xavier. im from a little town and school and im worried about the size mostly. Any advice and what may have drove you to pick msu

I was accepted, but i decided to go to bowling green instead.

I got accepted to the Honors College and was offered the paid professorial assistantship, which also qualifies me for in-state tuition and fees (I'm from Ohio). I also got the Legacy scholarship ($1,000) and a study abroad scholarship worth $3,000-$5,000. Right now, I'm stuck between MSU and Cornell (although most tell me I can't pass up this great offer at State).

ive decided to go to miami university in ohio
