lol only had a 3.7 unweighted and a 2030 im a little confused how I got in. Anyon understand what they look for?

My friend got in with a 3.6 nd 1750 SATs! Idk wats goin on

Did u pass multiple APs??? I think he passed english, chem, spanish nd history nd is a 4 year track nd xc member

You got lucky I guess. Maybe the proctor REALLY liked you.

People with 4.1 GPAs, 2100+ SAT scores, really well-rounded individuals, got rejected. o_o;;

But wow. Grats, maybe you took a lot of APs or something? Well-written personal essays?

wow that is great! what were some ec you did or courses you took?

Umm took 3 aps, failed 2, barely passed STATSTICS lol. Well i wrote about a novel and how it made me insane for my essay.

Congrats, but did you really fail 2 classes? Or are you one of those people that considers C’s failing? If you literally failed then I’m quite surprised…but if not then don’t worry about it. You’ve accomplished something great and should cherish it. Have fun.

I am not sure why you are so surprised, 2030 with a 3.7 GPA is on target for UCLA. The midpoint SAT score (of the 25%-75% range) for UCLA is 1903.

Congratulations.

1930, 3.92, 4 ap’s going into senior year better get me in!!! haha (im still a junior boooooo)

same…I had a friend who had a 1900 something SAT score and a 3.8 uw gpa (no honors and 1 AP) who got in, and people with higher SAT Scores and weighted GPAs get rejected…I really don’t know how UCLA decides on things like this…

really now? those are good stats compared to the kids in my school. theres a kid with a 1600 and a 3.5 weighted who got into ucla and like 5 others with around 1600 and a 3.8 weighted that got in. last year my school had kids get into ucb with 1300s and 1400s, but my school is pretty bad

This makes me feel better being that I have a 1480 sat scores and aiming for UCSB

Hmm that really doesn’t make sense. Only the top toppity top people at my school were accepted, and you could see why… there were loads of awesome smart involved high-scoring people who didn’t.
