<p>Well, someone has to make sure the ISS is built to code…</p>
<p>NASA would definitely need structural engineers for their projects. It would be my guess however that a lot of that kind of work would be given to contractors that NASA hires specifically for those projects. </p>
<p>In the far future: Moon base anyone? It would be a really interesting project, designing structures for 1/6 normal gravity, looking at soil samples that have to be remotely analyzed or brought back, and no atmosphere. And then there’s actually building it, transporting equipment and materials, etc. Maybe NASA could give Aibarr’s company the contract to design and build it :p</p>
