I am a current junior planning on applying for UC's next year but I am very paranoid right now.
NW GPA- 3.8
W GPA- 4.15
(note: my freshman year gpa was a 3.6 nw gpa and a 3.8 w gpa. Sophmore year I earned nw gpa 4.0 and w 4.5 gpa)
SAT- 2100 (plan on studying until breaking 2200s)
Plan on taking SAT2 for math2,us history, and chem by June
Service hours: 70 (going to aim for 150 by end of this year)
Clubs: FBLA, Key club, FIA, and CSF
I plan on going into UCLA or UCB.
Currently I am taking 4 AP classes, Art history, US history, Chemistry, and English Composition.

Sorry if juniors are shunned in this forums, I was recommended by my counselor to check this site out =P
And sorry for not providing more detailed scores (but assume if each sat2 tests are to be 700)

Anything is possible.

Haha, but really, you’ll get into most UCs. What ones are you applying to specifically?

Specifically, UCLA or UC Berkeley. Well, those two are my dream school :)

I would say they are both low reaches. Your GPA could be higher.

And what do you mean by low reach? Sorry again for being naive

What is your UC GPA?

UCs don’t use frosh grades.

See the UC admissions website for guidance on calculating a UC GPA.
You can explore the freshman profiles for more detailed data about the new admitted class at each UC.
Since you list CSF, I’m assuming you are in-state.
You can also use the UC site to make sure that your coursework meets the UC requirements (there is a specific listing for each CA HS).

I think you’ll get in if you keep going at the right pace and try to bump up that GPA.

I know you are anxious…but so far you are in the right track. Try to maintain A’s in Junior year, that will bump up your GPA. Get some depth in your ECs. 4 is fine as long as you show depth. You still have time, retake the SAT next summer. Do well in your AP scores. And I know subject score is optional but doesn’t hurt. Also admission chances will depend on your major. But you are in the right track.
