I want to major in either Engineering or Computer Science.
Which colleges are known for their courses in these fields?

The Universities of California - UC Berkeley, UC Los Angeles and others - are quite good. There’s also Caltech, Georgiatech, MIT, Stanford, Uni of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, among many others. Check out online rankings for a basic idea.

UChicago is outstanding in Computer Science. but you know, the answer to your question will be a big list.

The best are, in no specific order
MIT, Stanford, CMU, UCB, UIUC, UCSD, WUSTL, UCLA, UTaustin, GeorgiaTech, UMich, UMass.
Please add any university that i accidently left. :)

You definitely missed UChicago, Princeton, Cornell and Columbia. And I can also add Caltech, UPenn, Harvard, NYU and Yale. Seems like I love the private sector!!

Cool, I’m researching for my colleges and will put them up when I’m done. Looking forward to a CS major with Graphic Design as a Minor.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations.
@anishbasu I too want to go for a CS major with a minor in Graphic Design.
Do tell me the colleges which you decide :)

Also, could anyone tell me the difference between majoring in Computer Science and Computer Education?

@codeguy pls specify the umass uni u are talking about…

I would say if you are interested in game designing then digipen is amongst the best but choose that only if u wish to become a game designer …

@TusharKC I am sure that he was referring to UMass Amherst.
