Hey guys, I've searched all over the place for information about Goddard Hall but still have a few questions. I know you need to apply - but how selective is the process? And I heard that Goddard can really only be your first choice, is that right?

It’s pretty selective. We just did our housing selection for Broome Street (the upperclassmen component of the program) and we were very selective.

If you get in to the program at Goddard you will be living at Goddard, so basically it is your first choice if you apply.

Thanks so much for the reply! Does being an early decision student make it easier to get in? What exactly is Goddard looking for - I heard it places a great emphasis on extra-curriculars…?

ohgod-I have no idea what this year’s numbers were, but for Broome street I believe the number was around 40%.

tanlee-Early decision plays no role from what I know…I got in as an RD kid. We look for a great emphasis on wanting to build a community, so you want to be active in clubs, organizations, etc.
