i heard about that email thing on sunday, but I didnt get an email.
however, I went to the online portal and got my AU ID and went to the email registration portal, just to see if anything would come up about acceptances, and it gave me an email address.

does this mean I am accepted if they are giving me an email?
I can’t be the only one who has tried this…

I mean I assume so, the same thing worked for me. Why would they give you a username for class registration and an email if you havent been accepted?

this is how i did it at least.........you need to have a perspective undergrad student portal fist.....log onto this (au should have sent you your id and (your e-mail) and five digit password when they confirmed that your app was complete)...so if you have this go to the last link under personalized links this should be the financial aid award package ling go to this and your AU ID should be up in the upper left hand corner of the page(it will say AU user id: and a seven digit number)--use that number when creating your my au portal

Is my ID my email address? I don't think I got a seperate ID. I have tried to log in with my email address and that doesn't seem to work, so I don't know what that means...

Everyone does, but it will only work at creating your account if your accepted and that is also the only time you can make a deposit to become a full student.

where do you go to create your account? sorry, i'm totally computer illerate and also a transfer student, so that might have something to do with it not working...

For the record I am not going to American next year for I was accepted to GW early, but my friend is going to American, thus I helped her with this.

i logged onto the admissions portal, where you can check if you have anything missing from your application, and it told me how much financial aid they were giving me, but still no official letter of acceptance.
