Going for Computer Science in a College in New York?

Hello CC! So here's the scoop on me, this is my last year at my local community college, I will have my associates degree of science and I have finally decided I want to major in Computer Science. I really want to go to a college in New York mainly because the its a fast paced city and all but is the job market in New York pretty high in NYC? What colleges would you guys recommend? I'm doing some research on Columbia University and New York Institute of Technology. I want to get a start on this early so I'm not putting this off till the last minute. I'm visiting NYC on the 25-30th so I'll let you guys know how it is.

Thanks in Advance!

1) You may want to include NYU in that list.
2) Hopefully, you did not take many CS courses in community college as the only ones that will transfer will be the introductory programming course and the discrete math course.

Stony Brook is well respected for CS, though it is a train ride away from NYC on Long Island.

Note that both NYU proper and PINYU (which are merging) offer CS as a major. PINYU appears to be less selective and better for financial aid, but the merger may change things.

I gotcha I’ll have to take a look at that, another question what IT colleges would you guys recommend?

Binghamton, Stony Brook are two best CS state schools.
